YALE University is hosting a one-of-a-kind conference on "What Works?" in faith-based development efforts. Renowned social impact evaluator, Dean Karlan, will present new results from his evaluation of a faith-based economic development organization, International Care Ministries. After Karlan explains his ground-breaking case for the positive impact of faith in poverty reduction, Excellence in Giving's Director of Research, Paul Penley, will reveal his new results from evaluating the nation's only faith-based Boys & Girls Club. Stronger faith can be linked to great academic and character growth. Leading evaluators, funders, and NGO leaders with an interest in spiritual metrics are all coming together for lively discussions and panels on September 20-21, 2016. The interest of faith-based funders and NGOs in research-backed impact is growing, and Excellence in Giving is at the forefront of the conversation.
