Excellence in Giving Welcomes New Chief Operating Officer

Excellence in Giving hires Chief Operating Officer

Al Mueller, Founder & CEO, announced the hiring of Andy Kim as Chief Operating Officer.

With Excellence in Giving serving over 40 families with combined annual giving exceeding $100 Million, Al Mueller said it was time to strengthen our leadership team.

Andy Kim will be responsible for the operations and growth of Excellence in Giving. Al Mueller will be able to focus on serving key clients and strategic new initiatives.  After more than six months of interviewing talented candidates with business and ministry experience, Andy Kim was the unanimous selection to become the first Chief Operating Officer.

Andy joins the Excellence in Giving team with experience in both the private and social sectors, with over 15 years of business development and startup experience. Most recently, Andy served as President of a private wealth management firm that serves high-net-worth clients with traditional and alternative investments.

Andy has also led a private operating foundation whose mandate was to launch equitable business ventures in emerging markets that possess the potential for independent viability while clearly benefiting the community in which they operate. In his work with the foundation fund, Andy was instrumental in starting and operating businesses in India, Gambia, Iraq, and Sudan. Working with companies both domestic and overseas, Andy’s ability to provide clarity and execute thoughtful strategies has given him the perspective he brings to the EIG leadership.

Andy is a graduate of Biola University and Talbot Seminary with a MA in Spiritual Formation, an integrated discipline of theology, philosophy, and psychology. A native Los Angeleno and an adopted son of St. Louis, Andy and his wife Elyssa will be relocating to Colorado Springs from St. Louis by the end of 2022 with their two young boys.
