Mrs. Blackburn has a passion for working with people and developing significant relationships, particularly in the context of philanthropy. Her experiences growing up in the Middle East and Europe helped frame her outlook, including her lifelong interest in the wellbeing of the poor and disenfranchised. Laura received a BA degree from Westmont College and an MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. She was a top producer in executive sales for a commercial health insurance company in Southern California. She also has experience in the nonprofit world, most recently consulting for World Vision International, headquartered in London.
Laura has supported and worked closely with several nonprofits, including a seat on the board of Women of Vision. She also writes, and most recently contributed to Generosity Path, sharing the message of generosity globally. Laura enjoys being a mom to her two college students and having more time with John, her husband of over 20 years. She loves to ski, walk the golf course, read, write and practice her Arabic. She lives with her family in Colorado Springs.
